Illegal Alien Accused of Murder Walked Free Due to Maryland Extradition Oversight

Carlos Corrales-Ramirez, an illegal migrant, is accused of a fatal stabbing in New York after being released from jail due to an extradition delay from Maryland.

Carlos Corrales-Ramirez, an illegal alien from Honduras, is accused of fatally stabbing 28-year-old Jario J. Hernandez-Sanchez in Rensselaer County, New York.

Previously, Corrales-Ramirez had been detained by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol near Champlain, New York, for a non-fatal stabbing incident in Maryland.

Despite an active warrant for his arrest, he was released from the Clinton County Jail due to Maryland’s delay in responding to an extradition request.

Former acting CBP commissioner Mark Morgan criticized the release, attributing it to policies set by U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.
