Hunter Biden has been indicted on federal gun charges stemming from Special Counsel David Weiss’ investigation.
The charges include making false statements during a firearm purchase and possession of a firearm by an unlawful user of controlled substances.
This indictment follows a collapsed plea agreement in July, where Biden was expected to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax counts.
These charges are the first Weiss has brought against the president’s son since his appointment as special counsel.
The investigation was sparked by a 2018 incident where a gun owned by Hunter was discarded near a market in Delaware.
