Another inmate, Shawndre Delmore, was found unresponsive in his cell at Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail and later died at Grady Memorial Hospital.
This marks the 10th inmate death at the jail this year. Delmore was arrested for burglary and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
The Fulton County Jail has been under scrutiny, especially after former President Donald Trump and 18 others surrendered there last month.
The U.S. Department of Justice has launched an investigation into the jail system following reports of inmate abuse and neglect.
